This song is contraversial amongst fans of Casting Crowns music because it is not directly based on a specific verse from scripture. If you examine the rest of this Casting Crowns music, especially on this album, you will find that they are based on specific verses from the Bible.

But that should not detract from this track. It is a soft and gentle reminder of the Fathers Love. Of all the Casting Crowns music that I have heard, this is my favourite.

What If His People Prayed is one of the greatest Casting Crowns tracks so far! It is a stron opening tracks for their fist major studio release 'Casting Crowns' and is a modern Christian Rock classic.

The lyrics are based on scripture: 2 Cron 7:14 - 'if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land'

This track is a real challenge to all who hear it. What would happen if Gods people actually prayed.... of course the answer is within the scripture.

The music is upbeat and on the more rock side of Casting Crowns music, but I like it. It makes this track punchy - and these lyrics needed to be put out there punchy!

Casting Crowns are never frightened to get in peoples faces about their faith, and this song is an excellent example.
